Bring a smile to an underprivileged kid's face by donating usable toys…
Every child, as he or she grows up, deserves toys to play with. Toys not only entertain the child, but also help in the child’s emotional and educational development.
A toddler’s skills improve as it identifies colours and shapes in toys. As the child grows up, toys, games and story books help in learning alphabets and numbers. Brain games such as puzzles, card games and riddles benefit children through exercising the brain.
Underprivileged children from poor backgrounds are no different from other children. But they are deprived of the joys and pleasures of playing with toys simply because their parents lack the means to buy toys.
Donate new or old toys to toy banks listed in 'Whom Can You Contact?' section below and bring back smiles on the kids' faces!
Donate toys to children's homes, toy banks & toy libraries run by NGOs...
In urban homes of India, parents have financial means to indulge their kids with toys. However, children do get bored with playing with the same toys after a while. These used toys which would be worn-out a little while still being functional, can be donated to toy banks. Imagine the joy that these toys can give to children who never had toys to play with!
Toy banks clean and refurbish the old toys. Some organizations gift-wrap and distribute the toys among underprivileged communities in villages and cities. Other organizations use the toys in-house or hand them over to toy libraries run by themselves or others.
